Matthew Fitzpatrick eyes a historic third win in Crans-Montana
23.07.2025
He knows every corner of the course, every twist of the Valais fairways. From August 28 to 31, 2025, Matthew Fitzpatrick will return to Crans-Montana for what will already be his 9th appearance at the Omega European Masters. A tournament that has often smiled upon him… and where he could further cement his legacy.
Winner in 2017 and 2018, the elegant Englishman now dreams of a third title, an achievement that would place him among a very exclusive club. Only five players in the tournament’s history have managed this feat, including legends such as Severiano Ballesteros, Harold Henning, and Dai Rees.
At just 30 years old, Fitzpatrick boasts an impressive career. He finished 8th at the PGA Championship earlier this year, reaffirming his place among the world’s best. He also arrives in Crans-Montana on the back of two exceptional performances: 4th place at both the Scottish Open and The Open Championship, confirming his strong form heading into the final stretch of the season.
Winner of the U.S. Open in 2022 and the RBC Heritage in 2023, he currently holds 2 PGA Tour titles and 8 international victories, including his two prestigious wins in Crans-Montana.
The countdown has begun. In just a few weeks, all eyes will be on the Golf Club de Crans-sur-Sierre, where Matt Fitzpatrick will aim to etch his name into the tournament’s history for the third time.
