A Swiss coffee with an Italian twist
24.08.2022
Caffè Carlito is a partner of the Omega European Masters for the first time. "And we have committed ourselves for a minimum of five years. We want to base this collaboration on the long term," explains Christian Schlegel, Caffè Carlito's Development Director.
The company is therefore supplying the entire competition week with coffee. This also involves providing the event with 25 coffee machines.
The Losone-based brand from Ticino chose to be present in Crans-Montana during the Omega European Masters in order to make itself known in Valais, a canton in which it is currently only well established in Zermatt. "We have the opportunity to be on the High Plateau through our partner, the coffee machine manufacturer Eversys. We intend to show our differences in order to develop in Crans-Montana, where for the moment we are only present in the club-house of the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club", continues Christian Schlegel.
Support from the Right to Play Foundation
Caffè Carlito is a family business founded in 1965. It owns the entire production chain, from roasting to packaging and distribution throughout Switzerland. "Our proximity to Italy gives our coffee a special flavour," says Christian Schlegel, who is looking forward to attending a tournament of the magnitude of the Omega European Masters. "This is our biggest event in the sport. We are also a partner of the Michelin Guide Switzerland and the Estelle Balet Memorial in Sion.
The Ticino-based brand also supports the Right to Play Foundation, which promotes sport among children in developing countries. Caffè Carlito donates 50 cents for each kilo of its "Ticino" coffee sold.
