Winner eleven years ago, Danny Willett returns to the fairways of Crans-Montana

Some names have a way of coming back around. Danny Willett is one of them. Eleven years after lifting the trophy on the Severiano Ballesteros course, the Englishman will make his way back to Crans-sur-Sierre for the 2026 edition of the OMEGA European Masters, from 3 to 6 September, a 15th appearance that speaks volumes about his connection to the tournament.

His first visit to Crans-Montana dates back more than fifteen years. Since then, Willett has built a history there marked by consistency and strong results: four top 10s, including three top 5s and two top 3s, crowned by that 2015 victory which remains the high point of his time at the event. It was no isolated success either: on the international circuit, the Englishman has racked up eight DP World Tour titles, and above all an absolute career peak in 2016, at the Masters in Augusta, USA.

Eleven years on from his Crans-Montana triumph, Willett is far from a name of the past. This season alone, he has shown he can still hold his own against the world's best, with a seventh-place finish at the International Amsterdam and a 21st-place result at the Scottish Open.

He will find several familiar faces already confirmed for the 2026 edition at Crans-sur-Sierre: Matt Wallace, Thriston Lawrence, Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Rasmus Højgaard will also be teeing it up between 3 and 6 September.
