The leaders of the first day
05.09.2024
The first day of the Omega European Masters was a rainy but victorious day for Alex Fitzpatrick and Alfredo Garcia-Heredia, who both topped the provisional rankings. Despite the difficult weather conditions, they made the most of the course to pull ahead of his rivals and set the pace for the start of the Omega European Masters.
Young amateur Nicola Gerhardsen shone among the pros. A 22-year-old from Zurich, Gerhardsen is preparing to turn professional next week. After a season on the Pro Golf Tour, he has taken care to get used to competing against professional players. His objective is clear: to progress and join the Challenge Tour, or even the DP World Tour, in the coming months. With the solid experience he has acquired this year, Nicola Gerhardsen is a player to keep a close eye on in this competition.
