Twins Nicolai and Ramsus Højgaard will be joining the competition!
20.06.2024
For the 77th edition of the prestigious Valais tournament, the 23-year-old Danish players will meet in Crans-Montana and hope to fight for the final victory!
The Severiano Ballesteros course seems to suit the Højgaard twins well, since Rasmus has already added his name to the list of winners by lifting the trophy in 2021, and Nicolai finished fifth in last year’s tournament.
Both ambassadors of our title sponsor OMEGA, they are set to showcase their skills on the fairways and greens of Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre this September.
As a reminder, in 2021, Rasmus' victory at Crans-Montana contributed to a historic double on the DP World Tour, as his brother Nicolai was victorious the following week at the Italian Open!
Nicolai continues his incredible progress. After winning his second DP World Tour title at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship 2022 in the United Arab Emirates, he ended 2023 in style by winning the DP World Tour Championship, a week after taking second place in the Nedbank Golf Challenge. His victory at the Jumeirah Golf Estates saw him finish second in the Race to Dubai 2023. This earned him a spot on the PGA Tour, where he will soon be hoping to win his first title in the USA. As the icing on the cake of this incredible year 2023, he was picked by the captain to be part of the European Ryder Cup team and made his debut in Italy, helping Europe to win the Ryder Cup.
Rasmus, on the other hand, has already made his own mark. He came to light at an early age, winning the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at the age of 18 to become the third-youngest winner on the European circuit. He has four victories to his name, including one on home soil at the "Made in HimmerLand" tournament. This year, he put in a fine performance at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, finishing in second place.
