Matthew Fitzpatrick world #17 confirms his attendance!
04.06.2024
The world number 17 returns to the Omega European Masters, having glommed onto the trophy twice before in 2017 and 2018. Last year, he fell three strokes short of equaling the record of victories held by three players - the legendary Spanish player Severiano Ballesteros, winner in 1977, 1978 and 1989, Harold Henning from South Africa, in 1960, 1964 and 1965 and Dai Rees from England in 1956, 1959 and 1963.
Matthew Fitzpatrick is a talented player who won his first Major, the US Open, in 2022. His record to date includes 8 wins on the European Tour and 1 victory on the PGA Tour, the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina in 2023.
He has been a member of the European Ryder Cup team three times and shares a record with Jack Niklaus of having won the US Open and US Amateur on the same course!
He is very fond of Crans-Montana and will be back for the eighth time fully motivated.
We're all looking forward to welcoming him for this magnificent edition, which will be played from September 5 to 8, one week after the FedEx final - an excellent timing to see other internationally renowned golfers join the competition.
