Fitzpatrick holds on
02.09.2023
Matt Fitzpatrick is holding his own, once again leading the way with a score of -15.
Being one of the leaders, he withstood the pressure well throughout the third round of the Omega European Masters on Saturday afternoon.
This leaves him alone at the top of the leaderboard ahead of Sunday's decisive round. Behind him, three men finished at -13, two lengths behind Matt. Scotland's Connor Syme played an excellent card, putting him in second place on the provisional leaderboard alongside Sweden's Ludvig Aberg and Alexander Björk.
Behind them, everything remains very tight, with twenty players separated by three shots. It promises to be a great battle on Sunday.
Young talents on fire
On the junior side, it was an emotional day on hole 8.
As announced, 22 juniors had the chance to take on the pros on the famous Par 3 Severiano Ballesteros course.
A total of 6 youngsters rose to the challenge.
Liliya Favre from Golf Club de la Gruyère and Cyrill Hediger from Golf Club de Limpachtal beat two pros, while Loïc Lemieux, John Paul Rugumambaju, Malia Luder and Tim Edward Franzl beat one pro.
It's with stars in their eyes and dreams in their heads that these young talents will be able to continue their progress, perhaps one day reaching the world's elite.
