Official regulations for the Omega European Masters 2025
Tournament conditions – Omega European Masters 2025
1. The Omega European Masters is a 72-hole stroke play event.
2. A field of 156 participants will play one round on each of the first two days. There will be a cut after 36 holes to the leading 65 professionals and ties. In the event that the cut after 2 rounds qualifies more than 78 players for the third and fourth rounds then, there may be an additional cut after 3 rounds to the leading 72 professionals* and those who tie for 72nd place. Such a decision will be taken by the Tournament Director in accordance with the Regulation I 6 of the DPWT Member’s Regulation Handbook.
The prize money breakdown will be unchanged. i.e. All professionals making the original cut to 65 and ties but missing the 3rd round cut will be paid in accordance with their position after 3 rounds.
3. Eligibility
a. Winners of each 2025 DPWT Global Swing Rankings.
b. A maximum of the leading available 10 players who are entered into this tournament and are not otherwise exempt, from within the top 70 of the FedExCup Standings at the conclusion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
c. The leading available 7 Ranked Members who are entered into this tournament and are not otherwise exempt, from within the top 1101 of the 2025 Race to Dubai Rankings as of the conclusion of the Danish Golf Championship. Blank entries will be filed for this exemption that will be defined after the close of entries.
d. The leading available 3 Ranked Members who are entered into this tournament and are not otherwise exempt, from within the top 1101 of the 2025 Race to Dubai Rankings as of the conclusion of the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo. Blank entries will be filed for this exemption that will be defined after the close of entries.
e. 8 professional tournament invitations.
f. A maximum of 6 amateur* tournament invitations.
g. The balance of the field will be completed in accordance with the 2025 DP World Tour Exemption Category List excluding Categories 6 and 8.
Eligibility Notes:
h. 1 The following Members will be treated as “in addition” when determining the top 110 cut-off:
• Ranked Members aged 50 or over in the current Official Season.
• Ranked Members within the top 50 of the OWGR who have not played a minimum of 6 Counting Tournaments prior to 20th October in the current Official Season. NOTE: Top 50 OWGR definition is for a player who features in the Top 50 in any of those OWGR rankings published from week 1 to week 29 in the current Official Season. Exception: Any such Member who has played 25 or more Race to Dubai Ranking Tournaments, excluding Majors and WGCs in his career prior to the current Official Season.
ii. The top 10 Regulation applies from the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo into this tournament.
iii. In the event of a tie in the lowest place in (c) or (d) above, this will be determined using the following criteria: Highest 2025 DP World Tour Exemption Category List ranking.
iv. If there are less than 6 amateurs entered in (f), then the remaining spots can be allocated to Swiss professionals.
v. In the event of a withdrawal in (b) above, the place(s) may be taken by the next leading available player from within the top 70 of the FedExCup Standings at the conclusion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship up until 18:00 hours local time on the day prior to the first round of the tournament. After such time, any withdrawals will be replaced by the tournament’s first available reserve in order of eligibility.
*Amateurs must have a handicap of scratch or better.
4. In the event of a tie for the first place, there will be a “hole by Hole Play- Off “ played over holes 18, 18, 18 but if still tied, a new hole will be cut on green 18th and play will continue on hole 18th until a conclusion.
