Tournament conditions – Omega European Masters 2023
1. The Omega European Masters is a 72-hole stroke play event.
2. A field of 156 participants will play one round on each of the first two days. There will be a cut after 36 holes to the leading 65 professionals and ties. In the event that the cut after 2 rounds qualifies more than 78 players for the third and fourth rounds then, there may be an additional cut after 3 rounds to the leading 72 professionals* and those who tie for 72nd place. Such a decision will be taken by the Tournament Director in accordance with the Regulation J4 of the DPWT Member’s Regulation Handbook.
The prize money breakdown will be unchanged. i.e. All professionals making the original cut to 65 and ties but missing the 3rd round cut will be paid in accordance with their position after 3 rounds.
Exception: this will not be implemented if circumstance dictate that there is no redraw between rounds 3 and 4. (I.e. when determining the cut, qualifying amateurs will be in addition to the professional field at this stage).
3. The field is made up as follows:
a. 10 professional tournament invitations;
b. *A maximum of 6 amateur invitations;

d. The field will be completed in accordance with the 2023 DP World Tour Exemption Category list excluding Categories 6 and 8.
NB.
· *If less than 6 amateurs are entered in (b), then the remaining spots can be allocated to Swiss Professionals.
· The top 10 Regulation applies from the D+D Real Czech Masters into this tournament.
· In the event of a tie in (d) above, this will be determined using the following criteria in order: (i) Highest 2023 DP World Tour Exemption Category list ranking; if no tied Player has such a ranking then (ii) Highest 2023 Challenge Tour Exemption Category list ranking.
*Amateurs must have a handicap of scratch or better.
4. In the event of a tie for the first place there will be a “hole-by-hole play-off”. Playoff holes were confirmed as 18, 18, 18 but if still tied, the play-off would then switch to holes 10 and 18 alternating.
