Thanks to the joint support of Swiss Golf, the ASGI and Migros GolfCard through the Common Sports Fund "Supporting Golf" 22 Swiss juniors under the age of 16 will have the opportunity to participate in this challenge.

On Saturday, September 7th, each of the last 22 groups of the day are joined by a junior at hole number 8 of the Severiano Ballesteros course, a Par 3 of 160 meters. These young prodigies have the opportunity to challenge the professionals in the midst of the tournament ! Their mission is simple : to place their ball closer to the flag than at least one of the pro's balls. In 2023, two of them managed to beat at least one pro, and young Liliya Favre even managed to beat both pros!

How does it work ?

• Upon arriving at the tee, the junior is greeted by the master of ceremonies who introduces them to the group.
• The professionals hit their shots, and then it's the junior's turn.
• A referee, positioned next to the green, signals the result to players and spectators. A raised green flag will indicate that the junior has outperformed at least one of the pros, while a red flag will signify that the pros are closer.
• The junior then accompanies the group to the green. They receive a tournament flag signed by the three professional players and their ball.
