Two new names join the line-up

The 55th Olivier Barras Memorial took place during the heat wave this week from June 25 to 27, 2019. Not only were the temperatures high, but also the pressure, as the best amateur and the best pro of this tournament would qualify for this year’s Omega European Masters.

After 54 stroke play holes, Switzerland’s Loris Schüpbach won the amateur tournament. With a handicap of +2.7, the young prodigy from Uetliburg won with a score of -15, five strokes ahead of his two runner-ups Jakob Van der Flierdt and Tom Gueant.

In the pro category, it was Gregory Molteni who won the qualification, thanks to a total of -8, or 205 shots over three rounds. The Italian broke away from the duo Richard Jouven and Lionel Weber to finish two strokes ahead.

Congratulations to Loris Schüpbach and Gregory Molteni, who will both have the chance to compete against the best players in the world at the Omega European Masters 2019.

In the ladies' category, it was the Swiss Tiffany Arafi who won the Olivier Barras Memorial.
