PPG, a company involved in sustainable development
After three years in Crans-Montana as main sponsor of the Omega European Masters, PPG is very positive about this collaboration.
"It has surpassed our expectations. The hospitality, the food, the landscapes, the players and the course... everything is perfect. We can welcome our clients in an environment conducive to discussion. These are real moments of complicity in an exceptional setting," comments Ken Armistead, Director of Communications for PPG Europe, Middle East and Africa.
As one of the world's leading painters, the company takes advantage of the Omega European Masters to offer its customers a unique experience. They are lodging in Montreux before moving to the Haut-Plateau. They are participating in an innovation summit. This year's theme is: "Paints with Purpose". PPG presents technologies promoting the efficient use of the world's natural resources, and thus demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development.
PPG's involvement in golf began at the US Open 2016. This Grand Slam tournament was held near Pittsburgh, where the company has its headquarters. "We are also active in ice hockey (NHL), American football (NFL) and Formula 1. The connection between sport, innovation and PPG works very well," says Ken Armistead. In golf, PPG also works with the Titleist brand, providing materials that influence the life, rotation and high-speed flight of the ball.
