Taittinger, the official champagne of the tournament, opens more than 2000 bottles during the OMEGA European Masters.
Since last year, Taittinger has become the official champagne of the OMEGA European Masters. «We are also partner at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It is during this event, which is also part of the Top Events of Switzerland, that we met Yves Mittaz, director of the tournament here Crans-Montana», explains Julien-Vincent-Amédée Vogel, CEO & Partner of the importer VOGELVINS.
Golf and champagne are two products that are meant to come together. Is it obvious ? «We are also present in tennis and in football, as the official champagne of the international football federation. I think that spectators of all sports seek to share privileged moments. It is precisely what champagne produces.»
Bubbles – 16 million in a champagne glass – also represent an appreciated and festive element, even in Valais, a region more specialised in wine. «In the bar in the public Village and the VIP area, we open more than 2000 bottles in four days. Our champagne is very pleasant to drink. It is due to the fact that Taittinger is a renowned source of Chardonnay», concludes Julien-Vincent-Amédée Vogel. It is to be noted that Taittinger is the last family-named champagne in the world, the only one that still belongs to one family.
Bubbles next to the course, it is at the public village at hole number 17 that everything takes place. Taittinger distributes hats, always very much appreciated, and uses a «sharing box». The sharing box allows visitors to take photos and to send them by email almost instantaneously.
