Q. Great round?
A. I drove the ball well, the irons were good and I managed to roll some in so it was good. I got off to an ideal start with the eagle at the first: driver down the middle; two iron to about eight feet and rolled her in. I had good chances at the second and the third but then four was a good birdie because it was playing long today - it was driver, five iron. A perfect start.

Q. Two eagles in one round?
A. Can't remember the last time i did that. I was thinking about that when i was standing over the putt for the second one and thankfully it went in.

Q. How much confidence did you take from KLM?
A. Yeah that was massive. It's such a mental game this and when you get a win under your belt it does wonders for your state of mind. I am probably as confident as I have ever been at the moment.

Q. IS purple the new colour?
A. I think it must be. I wore it in Holland and shot seven under and wore it today and shot eight under. I might have to get some dry-cleaning done for tomorrow!

Q. did you deliberately choose purple then?
A. No, but I have the one I wore in Holland ready for Sunday. I have got the purple trousers as well but I don't know if they will come out to be honest.

Q. What did you do after the win?
A. I had to go to Edinburgh for a Company day and had a few beers that night but I have been working hard on my fitness recently and said that I wasn't going to have a drink for four weeks. I just feel good when I don't and it's good to have a break from it?

Q. Why do you do it then?
A. Cause it's nice isn't it? But I might have to give up a bit more in the future if I keep playing like this.

Q. Would be nice to make good start to The Ryder Cup race?
A. It would be great. It never crossed my mind once today and probably won't again until Sunday afternoon but it would be nice but there is a lot of golf to played yet.

Q. Do you feel that you have done yourself justice by not being close to it before?
A. I feel like I should have been a lot closer, but that's my opinion.
