Great round and four shot lead going into the final round? It's fantastic. It is the first time I have been in this situation and I am just really looking forward to tomorrow. I played really well out there today and it could have been even better but I will take where I am at. If I can keep doing the same things I'll be okay.

Never easy going out in the final group but you obviously enjoyed the experience?

The eagle on the first really settled my nerves. I was a bit nervous going out in the last group but made three and then hit the pin on the second which was nice. Holed a good putt on the next. I just hit a lot of really nice shots and holed putts and if I can keep doing that I will be very close tomorrow.

Was it a more satisfying round than the 63?

Definitely as I was in the last group going out, playing with a three-time European Tour winner - Brett can really play well - and to hold my own and shoot five under round this golf course was a really good effort. A 63 was great as well but the 66 was better under the circumstances.

You said the iron play wasn't so good yesterday but it was today?

I did a bit of work on it on the range yesterday. I just wasn't releasing it. A couple were going right, same as on 11 but made a good up and down there. Worked on it yesterday on the range and it bedded in nicely today.

The shot on 13 after bogeying two of the previous three was very important?

Very, very important. It was right on the limit as well. I hit a seven iron 205 up the hill. Seven was not going to go big and just hit as hard as I could. I hit it into the bank and it came back to a couple of feet. I thought I hit a really good shot and about ten second later the claps came.

How will you keep yourself in check tomorrow as it will be very exciting?

It will. I need to get off to a solid start again and if I can make a couple of birdies in the first few holes just to settle my nerves. I don't want to take my foot off the peddle. I have a four shot lead tonight and want a six shot lead tomorrow night. I want to make a load of birdies, that is the way I play my best and just try and keep doing that.

What would it mean to win this first tour victory?

It would be pretty nice. Obviously it would be fantastic to win here. Some of the players who have won here, I would love to get my name on that trophy. I can't start thinking about it at the moment and have to stay focused and do what I have to do. Keep hitting good shots and good putts and if I can I will be okay.

Did the nerves suddenly hit you today?

I slept really well last night. I didn't sleep so well the night before. It is just on the first tee, last off on the Saturday. I haven't been in that position before. I hit a great drive up there and then hit a nine iron and it was a good way to settle the nerves.

Nine iron - how far?

I had 187 yards to the pin.

Is there still plenty of gas in the tank after leading for three days?

I havae had three weekends off so I should be fresh. I feel fine. I am okay. Just get a good night's sleep and I should be okay.

Some people take years to learn how to play this course, how important is your caddie?

I have a great caddie in JP Fitzgerald and he gave me a couple of really good clubs today. I didn't think it was a seven iron on the 13th and he just said hit it and it will be good. I thought it was a six. Had about 145 to the fourth and I thought it was a wedge but he said use the gap wedge and it pitched pin high. He has been keeping me right this week. Hopefully I can keep going.

Is it like your amateur career where you would have a sticky patch and then suddenly hit form?

I have a few weeks in the year where I am hitting it well and putting well and those are the weeks tou have to make the most of it and I have so far here this week. Some of the guys say one good week can kick start your year - you look at players like Damien McGrane and Peter Lawrie who won for the first time this year. You feel if you are playing well you have to go out there and make the most of it and that is what I have managed to do this week.
