07-09-2007 : Phillip Archer Round Two 66 (-5) Total 0135 (-7)

I just got the putter going towards the end. I was hitting it well but not close enough before that. Then holed a good putt on the fifth from 20 feet and didn’t look as though I could miss on the way in. We had beautiful weather this morning. This is how we normally play here. I have been here four times and never known it as cold as the first few days here.

Last year you finished well?
I shot a 66 on the last day and came through the field to finish 12th. I love the place. The surroundings are stunning and it is easy to look around and distract yourself and not get caught up in things. It is what I have been working on, just lifting my head and enjoy the views and it is not hard to do here, same as Gleneagles last week. You can’t concentrate all the time. My wife comes out with me all the time, my mother is out this time as well and we always enjoy, very relaxing.

You have been there or thereabouts a few times this season?
If I can put the Andalucia weekend on here it would be great. It is a case of putting four rounds together. I have managed to do three most of the time but then had an average fourth. No pressure on myself though, just enjoy it and hope the putter works out.

And an Archer in William Tell country?
It bodes well doesn’t hit and hopefully I will have a good weekend.

Any good with the arrows?
No. I have just hit a lady on the last with my three wood so I had better not try and bow and arrow if I am hitting people with golf balls. She walked off so hope she is alright. I made a birdie from it so if I see her she can have the ball. Ends
