You played today with Sergio Garcia - how did you like the course? The course is awesome. It is in fantastic shape right now and the greens are perfect. This is so beautiful up here, sometimes you get distracted by the view it is so beautiful. And playing with Sergio this morning was awesome. It is the first time playing with him and he is such a great player I learnt a lot playing with him today. What do you think of Crans Montana - the best Alpine course in the world? It is so beautiful and the people here are so nice. Everyone has been so nice to me, very supportive. It is such a nice little town and I would love to come back. You are the youngest Omega ambassador - how do you feel in this important role? I feel very honoured that Omega has signed me and I am to be part of that family. In LA when Cindy Crawford came out I have to say it was quite amazing to see someone like Cindy Crawford and joining the Omega family with all the great ambassadors like Nicole Kidman and Sergio and Ernie and I am just so honoured. It's great. And a new watch? I just got it this weekend. I love it. Do you think it is possible some men are not so happy you are playing in these tournaments both here and the US? Of course there are going to be some people that aren't happy with me playing. I am not expecting 100% support every week but that is the way the world works. There are going to be people that support me and others that don't but I feel people here have been very supportive and welcoming. Sergio said he felt you could make the cut but also said there were aspects of the course which could make it difficult for you; you don't hit such a high ball which could be a handicap? Well I was actually thinning a couple this morning. I feel it is going to be a challenge, not the easiest thing and the greens are very tricky and it is a tricky golf course but I feel if I try my hardest and play my hardest I think it is possible. I will try my hardest and see what happens. You have been here since Friday - have you kept score in any of those rounds? Not really. I just tries to chip around the greens, putt around the greens and hit a couple of shots. I tried to play a couple of games in between but the score is between me and my ball. You talked about not getting 100% support when you do play men's events - what then is driving you to play men's events? I am not just doing it for the support I get, I am doing it for myself and my own self happiness. I love playing men's events and the challenge. I feel an adrenaline rush when I play these events and it is a lot of fun. When Tiger Woods was a teenager he was not able to follow a normal life as he was already such a celebrity - is your life following the same pattern? Not at all. I go to a regular high school so I am able to have like a dual life. When I am out on Tour I cannot see my friends a lot but when I am at home we go out to the movies and restaurants and stuff and do regular stuff and I love it. Hawaii is such a small place and I was born and raised there and people are used to me by now. I just go out and it is really nice. Do you take additional private lessons? I don't have a tutor; just bring my work along with me. I have a great student teacher relationship. Do you intend to carry on with your studies and until what point? I definitely want to carry on with my studies and go to college. Have you been aware of who you are playing with and what are your thoughts on both players? It think it is going to be awesome. Everything is going to be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it and think it will be a great two rounds. What do you know of the two players? I met Gonzalo in Japan and he was a really nice guy and I am looking forward to playing with him. And Nick? I have heard his name but don't know much about him. Can you say a bit about the affect you are having on the popularity of golf in the Far East? I think it is great. China golf is really booming and the same in Korea and Japan. I think it is awesome more people are playing golf as it is a fun sport and I think more people should play it. Secretly what is your hope this week - make the cut, top ten? If it was a secret I wouldn't be telling you. I just want to try my hardest and who knows what will happen. Obviously I want to make the cut, obviously a top ten, obviously I want to win, shoot a 54 but all I can do is try my hardest and see what happens. Do you think this track suits your game to make the cut? Yes I think so. I think this course suits me. Even if the course suits you or doesn't you still have to play it. This course is not very long but the greens are very tricky and takes a lot of patience out there. You have played both the US Tour and the PGA Tour - what is the biggest difference? I don't think there is that big a difference. Obviously the players are different but I can't see a big difference. You have said the greens are tricky - are they different from others you have played? I would call them interesting. They are interesting in the sense they are undulating and small but it is a lot of fun when you go up on them and start putting on them. Just makes the golf course have that much more character and uniqueness because of the greens. They are a lot of fun to play on. Did you try and drive the seventh? I did. Not today as I didn't hit it very well but I have the other days. Do you have a different mental approach playing a women's event to a men's? Different and the same. When you are playing against the men it takes more patience as I am not going to make birdies every hole and will have a lot more long irons into the greens, especially on the par threes, and I just have to stay patient. How do you relax and I am Italian and do you like dress of Prada or shopping or something? I love shopping, just going out there and finding cool stuff. You weren't that happy after the Women's British Open - what were your thoughts going home from there? I didn't play the way I wanted to but the last day I really grinded it out and was not that unhappy. I was pleased with how I played. I didn't play my best but every hole I tried my hardest and that is all I can do out there. I learned more in that tournament than I had any other in the summer. I went home feeling what I needed to work on and had a nice two and a half week break after that and got home knowing what to work on. Just driver, consistency and they don't have a lot of pot bunkers here thank god. Just putting and chipping and bunker shots and consistency. What do you like best about Tiger Woods? I think his concentration and motivation he has really motivates me. The concentration he has on the golf course is really inspiring. When they say Tiger eyes, the eyes he has when he plays is very impressive. You are part of a new breed of young women who are becoming increasingly competitive in golf - do you think there could ever be a time when women could qualify for the Ryder Cup? Hopefully I will be able to do it one day, that would be awesome. I think it is totally possible. Anything is possible in the future. I think players, both women and men, are getting better and we are starting to get stronger and work out more and are mentally tough and we can do it. After the British Open you broke with your caddie - is that because of your scores and who is caddieing for you this week? It was not just because of that one tournament and I didn't play how I wanted at the British Open. I felt I had a very good year with him but felt I needed to go on a different path. This week I am with a guy called Andy Lano. Jean Van de Velde is calling for equality and is calling for men to be allowed for the Women's British Open - what are your thoughts? My perspective on this is that the British Open is not called the Men's British Open, it is the British Open, so is the PGA, it is called the Professional Golfers' Association, there is no Men's Professional Golfers' Association, it is just the Professional Golfers' Association whereas the LPGA is called the Ladies Professional Golfers' Association and the British Open is called the Women's British Open so I think it is very clear. Are there any golfers past or present you look up to? Ernie Els has been my idol since I was young and I love playing with him. Ernie Els definitely. I look up to a lot of players up there - Ernie and David Toms - there are a lot of players with different talents who I look up to and I hope to learn a part from everyone of them. You have played several men's events but missed the cut - why? I made the cut in Korea - the SK Telekom in Korea. It is very hard just playing one event. You need momentum. It is like how I started on the LPGA - I missed some cuts first of all before I made cuts and then when I got used to making cuts I started getting in contention. That is just how it goes. I am just starting out and feel I need more experience in men's events. My game is getting progressively better and hopefully I will feel more comfortable as I play more men's events. When you play men's events do you drive further than women's? I think it does. When you see people out drive you, I am very competitive and want to be with them. Sergio hits it very far and that motivates me to get stronger. I think I do hit it stronger. Will we see you on more men's events? I definitely will play more. Is that the future pattern of your career? It is definitely what in want to do. That's why I am starting out early so I can get more used to it. I love playing men's events. This is not going to be a short term event for me, it is long term for me and I intend to do it all the way. Are you following a diet or anything and have you tried the Swiss cuisine? White wine? Underage. My trainer put me on a diet, not a strict diet but use common sense and eat healthier. But the two weeks I had off in California I went crazy so I am trying to lose weight from that. But here everything is awesome and I have been enjoying everything but have to say the croissants are deadly, especially the one's with chocolate inside, Chocolate is deadly as well so I am trying to stay away from that. Why are you not playing in the Ladies Masters in Dubai which is sponsored by Omega? It's because I am only allowed to miss a certain time from school so I have to go to school. When do you intend playing full time on the LPGA Tour? I am not old enough to be a full member and I am only allowed to eight events now but when I end school and have more time but right now this is very part time for me because of my school and that is very important to me. I guess when school becomes less then I will play more regularly. When will that be? This year is the last year of high school but then I am going to go to college so I am not sure? What do you want to study at college? I am thinking about that at the moment and thinking business, I am very interested in business and maybe economics. Thinking about marketing.
